Through the integration with an Italian service platform dedicated to Local Public Administrations, a digital ecosystem has taken shape — combining institutional websites, citizen-facing apps, tourism portals and interactive kiosks, with the goal of bringing municipalities closer to their communities through technology.
Smartkiosk Italy took on the challenge of equipping this service with hardware that could match its ambitions: robust, reliable and capable of operating in any environmental condition, from the north to the south of the peninsula.

Over 50 Thalia kiosks installed across Italy
The Thalia is an outdoor kiosk engineered to withstand the most demanding atmospheric conditions: featuring a 55″ high-brightness touchscreen display, its four-fan thermal regulation system — supported by a thermoelectric unit — maintains a controlled and constant airflow, ensuring reliable operation even under direct sunlight and on the hottest days of the year.
In just over a year, Smartkiosk Italy designed, manufactured and supplied more than 50 Thalia 55 Outdoor kiosks, installed in municipalities and public spaces distributed across the entire national territory.
A growing collaboration
This project stands as one of the clearest examples of how the synergy between a dedicated public-sector software platform and a specialist hardware manufacturer can generate complete, scalable solutions. The Thalia kiosks become an integral part of the system, transforming every installation point into an active hub of institutional communication — directly accessible to citizens in their own communities.
